Tobacco consumption increased in
October 2021, a study published in the European Journal of Public Health found that after the first lockdown in France in March 2020, 27% of current smokers reported that tobacco consumption increased. At the same time, 19% said that their tobacco consumption has reduced. Most of the people among whom tobacco consumption increased were between the ages of 18 and 34 years. He was also highly educated. 11% said that the consumption of alcohol increased due to the lockdown.

130 crores use tobacco products
